Song of the Day!

Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become

Do you ever feel beat down? Do you feel like you're standing outside of yourself looking in thinking "How did I get this way?" I know I have. Life throws curveballs at you sometimes. Sometimes it's not "life" it's just you being human, but is that a good excuse for poor behavior? Sin has made us doubt who we are and who we are supposed to be. If you are honest with you, you could say that you not perfect. No where close. We have all done things we aren't proud of.

Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

But you want to know the best part? We are not left that way! A merciful God has changed all that.

Romans 3:24-26

and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

Jesus took all your sins, all my sins, and all the sins of every person who has ever lived and will ever live and became them so that WE could become righteous! Jesus did more than hang on a tree and suffer a painful death. He actually became the very thing that was completely opposite of what he is, sin.

So as we travel through life and get depressed and angry, think about who you are in Christ. You are RIGHTEOUS! You have the power of the almighty God living in you.

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

God wants so eagerly to be in your life. What are you doing to hold him back? What kind of animal have you become....

Rock Song of the Day!

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Face Down

In today's world abuse runs rampant. There are many types of abuse: physical, mental, emotional, even spiritual. This song is written about a bystander that sits back too long and watches physical abuse and finally says something about it. This video actually hits a little close to home for a lot of people all around the world, but why? As a christian the only thing I know to do is read life's instructions: The Bible. Here are a couple of verses I came across:

Isaiah 54:17
No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD.

Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

This is what God has to say about abuse and who you are in him. I hope if you are abused in any way this helps. Read the bible, it's all the instruction you will ever need for life.
